So whilst the 18th is almost over in this country, I can only imagine it's a very different story at home.
It really surprised me today when TWO of my classes asked me about the referendum - I didn't think they would have heard about it all the way over here in China. It turns out that the events in our little country have made the national news over here - so much so that my kids, (who don't get access to the internet during the week) know all about it. One of them knew all the prediction stats and everything. Saying that though, one of my kids at 10am this morning asked what the result was...I had to tell him that sunny Scotland was still asleep at that time, but that i'd keep him posted.
To be honest though, the thing that impressed me the most is that they remembered (from my lesson 3 weeks ago) that i'm Scottish - there's hope yet that at least some of the stuff I tell them sticks and doesn't just go in one ear and out the other!
